Way to go, G-Bear!
Or, perhaps more appropriately, congratulations, Justice G. Barry Anderson!
Barry, an old family friend (who has known me since I was "Bobby"), was recently appointed by Gov. Tim Pawlenty to the Minnesota Supreme Court. I've enjoyed watching Barry's rise to prominence, not only in Minnesota jurisprudence but in Lutheran circles - Barry's a member of the WordAlone board of directors.
Barry helped coach our We the People government team to the national finals in high school, and was affectionately known among us as "the G-Bear". (Don't know whether he knew that nickname or not, though!) He's a good man and will be a solid addition to the Minnesota Supreme Court. I'm proud to know him.
Congrats, Barry!
